hybrid
Toronto, Ontario, Canada .

Description

Who We Are
Tetra is leading the charge in Canada’s digital asset revolution, solving one of the final barriers to widespread institutional adoption: secure, compliant custody. With extensive financial and advisory backing from institutions like National Bank, ATB Financial, Shopify, and Wealthsimple, we’re launching Canada’s commercial stablecoin and scaling beyond custody into a multi-billion-dollar ecosystem.

One of the cornerstones of that ecosystem is Tetra Unity, our institutional-grade platform designed to meet the complex needs of large asset managers operating across traditional finance and digital assets. Founded in 2019 under Tetra Digital Group, we combine the credibility of a financially robust organization with the speed, ambition, and upside of a high-growth fintech.

Who You Are
You are a seasoned enterprise sales professional with deep experience selling complex financial or technology solutions to large asset managers and institutional investors across North America. You are comfortable operating as a senior individual contributor, owning the full sales cycle end-to-end, while working closely with executive leadership to shape go-to-market strategy.

As VP of Sales, you will report directly to the EVP of Sales and serve as a critical driver of revenue growth for Tetra Unity. You thrive in high-stakes, consultative sales environments, understand long enterprise buying cycles, and know how to navigate sophisticated decision-makers across investment, operations, risk, compliance, and technology teams. You bring credibility, discipline, and a hunter’s mindset to building and closing meaningful institutional relationships.

What You’ll Be Doing
Enterprise Sales & Revenue Growth
  • Own the full sales lifecycle for Tetra Unity, from prospecting and discovery through negotiation and close.
  • Drive new logo acquisition and expansion within large asset managers across North America.
  • Build and manage a robust pipeline of qualified enterprise opportunities, consistently delivering against revenue targets.

Strategic Account Engagement
  • Develop deep, trusted relationships with senior stakeholders at asset management firms, including portfolio managers, COOs, CTOs, heads of operations, risk, and compliance.
  • Position Tetra Unity as a long-term strategic partner, tailoring value propositions to complex institutional needs.
  • Lead sophisticated commercial negotiations, including pricing, terms, and enterprise agreements.

Market & Product Collaboration
  • Work closely with the EVP of Sales, product, and leadership teams to refine go-to-market strategy, messaging, and ideal customer profiles.
  • Provide direct market feedback from prospects and clients to inform product roadmap and positioning.
  • Stay ahead of trends in digital assets, tokenization, stablecoins, and institutional infrastructure to maintain a strong competitive edge.

Cross-Border Growth & Travel
  • Support growth across the United States and Canada, with approximately 20% travel to the U.S. for client meetings, conferences, and industry events.
  • Represent Tetra with credibility and confidence in high-stakes external settings.

What We’re Looking For
Experience
  • 8+ years of enterprise sales experience, with a strong track record of closing complex, high-value deals.
  • Demonstrated experience selling to large asset managers, institutional investors, or financial institutions in North America.
  • Background in fintech, capital markets, financial infrastructure, SaaS, or digital assets strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage long, consultative sales cycles involving multiple senior stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • MBA or advanced degree considered an asset but not required.

Knowledge & Skills
  • Exceptional consultative selling and negotiation skills.
  • Strong executive presence and communication abilities, both written and verbal.
  • Strategic thinker with a disciplined, execution-oriented approach to sales.
  • High degree of ownership, accountability, and comfort operating as a senior individual contributor.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with executive leadership, product, and internal stakeholders.

What’s In It for You
  • Be a Trailblazer: Shape Canada’s financial frontier with groundbreaking initiatives like our stablecoin launch and ecosystem expansions.
  • Unmatched Opportunity: Join a profitable, well-funded company with the stability of a market leader and the flexibility of a startup with global potential.
  • Competitive Rewards: Earn a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits, and more.
  • High-Impact Team: Collaborate with top-tier talent in a fast-paced, innovative environment where your contributions redefine an industry.
  • Location & Work Model: Based in Toronto with a hybrid work model (minimum 3 days in-office per week) upon successful completion of probationary period. Full-time in-office work required during the first three months for onboarding and training.
